Without grounding in compassion, lovingkindness, sympathetic joyous wonder, and equanimity... what seems to be awakening is a trap! This is what Vajrayana masters call "Vajra Hell."
Nothing exists. Nothing matters. Yet, there is dukkha! This view actually shuts you off from liberation.... sometimes for ages!
The key to cessation of suffering is your parents.... all sentient beings! Loving your neighbor as your self is liberation in one!
1 corinthians 13 NKJV -
The Greatest Gift
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body [a]to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not ...
Something I never expected happened today. We had a house fire started near the chimney that was either caused by the chimney or something electrical. We live 10-15 minutes from the fire department and they got there quickly. We are safe and I am well insured so I feel grateful that this wasn’t worse. I’ll share a few pictures of the damage. It’s a yucky mess and I have an excellent restoration company who arrived about an hour after the fire! Again, I feel grateful and lucky that our house can be repaired.
